WELCOME TO HUA HIN GOLF SOCIETY – THE ORIGINAL EX-PAT GOLF SOCIETY IN HUA HIN

Initially formed as a purely casual golfing group of expat friends in 1994, when they originally started recording scores and Handicaps. The Society was formed in 1997 when Peter Goulby and Martin Furzer volunteered to form the Hua Hin Golf Society. Membership cards were first issued in 2000, and away trips as well as regular events were scheduled. Originally games were played only on Tuesdays, but due to demand Friday games were also organized in 2002.

We also started Charity events, supporting local schools, and this led to the annual HHGS Charity scramble followed by a dinner and dance at the Dusit Hotel. Because of legal implications, the charity fund was transferred to the Bright Dawn Foundation in 2010. We still contribute to this cause.

HHGS is a totally non-profit making Society dedicated to providing its membership with competitive enjoyable golfing experiences with a strong social culture. Playing all of the Hua Hin golf courses in rotation twice a week throughout the year members are able to enjoy the wide variety of golfing challenges presented by these different courses at the best possible rates offered by courses to HHGS.

With “Major Competitions” firmly established in the annual calendar as well as the use of varying formats – both individual and team events – HHGS members are offered both challenge and reward often accompanied by post-game social gatherings at several of the most notable Hua Hin restaurants.
